I'm busy working on my second year film right now and it's kicking my butt, but I thought I would put up some artwork as I haven't posted anything in a really long time.

Here are some of the life drawings that I did last semester.

As the end of the semester rapidly approaches and the assignments keep piling up I am getting much more stressed then I ever care to be. I am so happy next week is Thanksgiving so I can have a little break from the madness and relax a bit.

Happy Halloween! Ann and I are hanging out at home watching scary movies and eating pumpkin ice cream. So far we have watched Evil Dead and Critters. Classics! I know!

On Monday we will be celebrating Ann's 23rd birthday and I am pretty excited for that.

I uploaded some artwork finally!!! Crazy! This is a Halloween inspired painting I did for my layout class. It was done using gauche and ink.

I'm still alive and have escaped the fires in Santa Clarita unscathed! So far my school is still standing as well, which is good as I have a lot of stuff in my cube that I would kind of like to keep. Classes were canceled today but I didn't find that out until I drove all the way up there and found like 10 cars in the parking lot. I went to my cube and did some homework for a bit and then headed home. When I left around 3:00 the closest fire was probably about 2 miles away, but the wind was blowing it in the opposite direction so I don't think my school is in any immediate danger. There is however another fire that is 10 miles or so away that possibly could end up near the campus. We'll just have to wait and see. I just checked and there is no school for me tomorrow either. Yay extra time to do homework, boo $300 for a class I didn't get to go to.

On Sunday Ann and I went to Disneyland and had a blast...... of 600 mile per hour wind to the face every 10 seconds or so for the whole day. Damn you Santa Anas!! We had a lot of fun too, and got to ride all the rides we really wanted to including the new Finding Nemo submarine ride which was not as good as I was hoping for but better then I had heard from a couple classmates. As is custom though I think we spent most our time eating delicious treats!

I think I have my film idea for this year pretty much flushed out now and I am very excited about it and can't wait to start animating it. It still has my voodoo character from last year in it although it has been completely changed. Its more of a prequel to the story i was originally developing last year. I will post some character designs as soon as I have them. I should also be posting a few other projects I have already done for school as soon as I scan them in. Hopefully in the next week.

Wow I haven't posted on this thing for a really long time. Sorry about that for those of you who check it regularly. Unfortunately I do not have any artwork to show you at the time, but I can give you an update on whats been going on in my life as of late.

After school let out I moved in with Ann and have been enjoying every minute of living with her, although we are a bit cramped for space in her studio apartment so we should be moving into a bigger place in a few months when her current lease is up. I have also been working part time as an intern for a small animation studio called July films. www.julyfilms.com I am pretty much having the best time there, everyone is super nice and I am learning so much. In a few weeks I will be working for them full time helping animate a short pilot for a tv show that is designed to help teach Chinese characters to children. I am very excited to start working on this. Other then that I am drawing quite a bit and taking it easy.

I hope to scan in some of my sketches and get them up here in the near future.

Alright already here you go, the film as promised. It is probably a little hard to understand what's going on at times due to my 90 second time restrictions and the bizarre nature of the film itself, but other then that I am really happy with how it turned out. Hope you like it!

Happy Birthday to me! I am now 27 and not altogether sure how I feel about that. I was just barely getting used to the idea of being 26. I spent the day exploring LA with my favorite person ever. We went to the beach finally, ate some great Indian food at a restaurant with the worst service ever, and ended the day at the observatory in Griffith Park.

Here are a couple pictures I took today with the new camera that Ann bought me. In theory I will be able to post more pictures for your viewing pleasure now.
